The program supports Windows 7/Vista/XP and requires few software and hardware resources.

Program installation and update

The program can be installed in several ways, which can be useful when deploying the program across a large number of computers. Using the remote installation tool, you can remotely update the program. In a portable mode, the program can be used without installation. Program installation modes:

• Classic. Using the installation file, that is run locally on the target computer.
• Remote installation Using the remote installation feature built into Viewer (it can be used both in a domain and in a regular network).
• Using a group policy. LiteManager is supplied as an MSI distribution package, so you can use the AD features to deploy the program over the network.

Security and data protection.
All data LiteManager sends over the network is encrypted with the secure encryption algorithms certified by the Microsoft Corporation. You can specify the security level in the server settings. Two security subsystems are available with the ability to assign rights to each user: password protection and Windows security system.

Desktop video capturing technology.
The LiteManager desktop video capturing system shows excellent performance, providing you with a fast and easy-to-use way to remotely control the computer desktop. This system easily integrates with the operating system and does not cause conflicts with the video driver or graphical shell Aero. You can customize image data transmission by specifying required parameters for image quality, refresh rate and data compression ratio.

Dragging and Dropping files and folders and clipboard
In the full control mode you can drag and drop files on the remote computer and from it. The file transfer mode also completely supports this mechanism. By default, in the full control mode the program synchronizes the clipboard, which is very helpful when transferring text data using familiar Copy and Paste operations.
 
Callback connection technology. Server initiates the connection with a client module.
LiteManager supports callback connections technology that allows the server module to initiate the connection with the client module. This doesn't mean that control is given to the remote computer or authorization will not be required. The program just initiates the connection, and after that you can work as usual. When establishing a callback connection, a corresponding icon will be displayed above the connection. RDP mode doesn't use callback connection. 

Network topology map.
In addition to usual representation of connection in the form of a list, LiteManager allows displaying them as a map. On the map, you can arrange computers in an arbitrary order, create connections between them, add additional elements, highlight connection with a color and much more. The map is completely interactive and allows you to activate connection as from the regular list.

Support for several displays or terminal sessions.
If the remote computer has several displays, LiteManager allows you to simultaneously control all of them or control each of them separately. The program allows switching between sessions, when several users work on the same remote computer at the same time and each of them has their own terminal sessions. Thus, you can control every user separately.

Capturing sounds from the remote computer
In the full control mode, you can enable Sound capture option. Thus, you can not only see, but also hear what is happening on the remote computer.

Searching for Servers in the network and adding them in the list
The program includes a separate module for searching computers by a given IP address or range of IP addresses. It allows the program to determine if a server module is installed on a certain computer. After the search system creates the list of computers where Server is installed, you can easily add them to the main list of the address book using their IP addresses or DNS names and taking into account duplicates.

The main list of computers and processing groups of connections.
In the main list, computers can be displayed as pictures of screens, icons, in the form of a table or a list. The thumbnail mode is useful for viewing the current status of remote computers. In case the computer is not accessible or the program cannot ping it, it will be displayed as Offline. If the LiteManager server module is not running or it is blocked, the status will be Not found. For more convenient work with several remote computers, you can select and activate the necessary mode.

Power management. Wake On LAN function for turning on a computer.
In the computer power management mode, you can turn on or restart a computer by using WOL function (Wake On LAN).

Connection by ID without using an IP address.
The program implements a separate communications protocol based on ID. Thus, you don't need to know the IP address of a remote computer. You just need to know its ID. The connection is established through the proxy NOIP server. For convenience, there is free corporate NOIP server available. You can also use its own NOIP server by launching it on your computer.

Multilingual user interface and Unicode support.
Both the client and server modules allow changing a user interface language. English and Russian are available by default. The program supports Unicode.

The program supports multhithreading, so you can simultaneously control several computers as well as connect to one of them from two separate Viewer modules.
