Helpdesk and Remote Support via LiteManager

The new version of LiteManager remote computer management software comes complete with technical support and screen recording features.

Today, computers are not only a part of our lives, but also a very important part of the lives of our parents, and even grandparents. Their knowledge of computers is not always very good, and is often close to none. That’s why it is sometimes necessary to provide technical support to inexperienced users even for the simplest of tasks, such as using social media, installing or updating antivirus software or even explaining what a browser is and how it works. LiteManager is perfect for both providing technical support to individual remote users and for administration of and for administration of collections of hundreds of computers.

Provision of Technical Support

In order to provide technical support to a remote user, launch the ROMServer.exe program. This is a server module of LiteManager, and it can be downloaded separately from the litemanager.ru website or just picked from the Litemanager installation package.

Once launched, the program will automatically generate a unique ID and a temporary password which will be used to establish connections to this computer via the Internet.

Now, to connect to a remote computer, you need to launch the client module – ROMViewer.exe. This can also be downloaded separately from our website or picked from the installation package. Open the ‘connect by ID’ window and enter the ID of the remote computer. After a successful connection, the program will prompt you to enter a password to access the remote computer. Enter the password that was generated by the server module of the program.

After a successful connection, you will be able to control the remote computer, for example by connecting to its desktop and performing the required actions using your mouse and keyboard.

LiteManager has more than 10 individual operation modes. Apart from remote desktop control, you can launch or open files, exchange files between computers, manage processes and services, edit system registries, manage power configuration, conduct inventories, send private messages and communicate via text or audio and video chat, and many other options. All these modes of operation will help you to achieve your objectives.

Administration of Remote Computers

LiteManager is a perfect solution for administration of small or large computer fleets. The program’s installation package has two modules – a server module that should be installed on remote PCs and a client module that should be installed on the administrators’ PCs. The program can be installed on remote computers using one of the following methods: 1) manually from the installation package, or 2) using the built-in remote installation tool. After installing the program, go to the Viewer and create new connections using the computers’ IPs or IDs. To speed up the process of adding new computers, use the ‘search for network computers’ function, which will automatically add them to the list.

After that, you will be able to permanently monitor the performance of remote computers, getting all information about them from the LiteManager main window. Availability of the scheduled screen recording feature enables you to set up the autonomous recording of the desktop of a remote computer to a separate file. This allows system administrators to see what operations were performed on a computer during a given day.

There also is a particularly interesting feature for setting up a personal ID server. This is a free separate application which is called NOIP in the program. It allows for the connection of server and client modules via an ID protocol. Having configured an ID server in your company, you can get a fully autonomous system of user technical support, fully protected against outside penetration.

Supply

LiteManager exists in a Pro version, which includes all features and is perfect for big organizations, and a Free version designed for individual and legal entities and allowing for management of 30 computers without any restrictions or time limits.
